The Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) information provides details about the current configuration of items being developed for and/or used in the DoD inventory; about documentation and identification numbers relating to those items; and about changes to the items and their configuration documentation. This information is needed to manage and support those items during their life cycle.
This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content and preparation
instructions for the data product resulting from the work task specified in the contract. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the delivery requirements for CSA information; the format for delivery, either in hard copy or electronic form, must be specified in the contract.
